About

Yoga Instructor, Mom, Wife, Southern Transplant to the PNW

Faith Atherton

I have been practicing yoga since 2013 and teaching since 2016. I began teaching from my home studio in 2017 and really enjoy the smaller, more intimate atmosphere. We stop to talk through a posture if necessary and we joke around at times. I believe that yoga is meant to build community and have fun while you do it!

My training is in Bikram Yoga and Ashtanga, both very traditional lineages of yoga. My teaching style reflects those traditions of using yoga to heal us, listening to our body by tuning into a body/breath connection, and practicing with dedication. I take a fairly laid back approach with my students and encourage them to always make the practice their own. We all have different bodies, past injuries and traumas, as well as physical and mental things we’re sorting out. So each person’s practice will look different and be experienced differently.

If you are unable to join me for classes in studio you can always join the online studio where I live stream my classes and have a growing library of content: Classes, meditations, tutorials, and quicker 25-45 minute practices.
